11-Time Award Winners

Over 33 years, Mossman Brothers Pools has designed and built nearly every style of luxury residential pool. Our gallery showcases our work across four primary design categories: negative-edge infinity pools, freeform resort lagoons, straight-line geometric pools, and wet-edge perimeter overflow designs.

Every project in our gallery was custom-designed for a specific property and homeowner vision. There are no stock plans or templates—each pool is unique. Many have won recognition for design innovation and construction excellence.

Negative-Edge Infinity Pools

These are statement pieces. Negative-edge pools create the visual effect of water that disappears into the landscape, often appearing to spill into mountain views. They’re the most technically demanding design—the edge cannot be visible, water must be absolutely level, and the engineering of the collection system has to be flawless.

Mossman Brothers has won 6 World’s Greatest Pools awards specifically in the infinity pool category. Browse our negative-edge portfolio to see how we integrate these engineering marvels with Scottsdale landscapes.

Projects featured: Paradise Valley infinity with Camelback view, North Scottsdale resort-style negative-edge, DC Ranch contemporary infinity, Arcadia desert landscape integration.

Freeform Resort Lagoons

If infinity pools are architectural statements, freeform lagoons are resorts in your backyard. Organic shapes, multiple depth zones, beach entry options, and natural stone integration create resort-like experiences in a residential setting.

Freeform pools integrate beautifully with Arizona’s native landscape. They complement Tuscan, Mediterranean, and Southwestern architectural styles particularly well, though we’ve designed contemporary freform pools as well.

Projects featured: Silverleaf resort lagoon with waterfall, Paradise Valley beach-entry lagoon, North Scottsdale luxury resort-style design, Arcadia native landscape integration.

Straight-Line Geometric Pools

Clean, modern, architectural. Geometric pools echo contemporary and mid-century modern home designs, creating visual continuity between your home and pool. These designs photograph beautifully and make architectural statements.

Don’t let the apparent simplicity fool you—great geometric design requires understanding proportion, sight lines, and how the pool integrates with your home’s architecture. We’ve designed dozens of geometric pools that are both stunning and highly functional.

Projects featured: Contemporary Paradise Valley geometric, Mid-century modern Scottsdale design, Minimalist North Scottsdale project, Architectural DC Ranch contemporary.

Wet-Edge Perimeter Overflow Pools

Constant water movement around the entire edge of the pool—hypnotic, beautiful, and technically sophisticated. Water cascades down all four sides, collected in a trough system. This design creates a sense of movement and luxury that static pool edges don’t provide.

Wet-edge pools are rarer than other styles and require sophisticated engineering. Mossman Brothers’ expertise in this category is evident in our portfolio—we’ve won multiple awards for wet-edge designs.

Projects featured: Silverleaf perimeter overflow masterpiece, Paradise Valley wet-edge with fire feature, North Scottsdale all-sides cascade, Arcadia contemporary wet-edge.

Water and Fire Features

Beyond the pool itself, we design and integrate water features (sheer waterfalls, bubblers, fountains), fire features (fire bowls, fireplace surrounds), lighting, and automation. These elements transform a pool from a place to swim into a complete outdoor living experience.

Our features portfolio shows how water, fire, and lighting create ambiance and functional luxury.

Projects featured: Waterfall and spa integration, Fire and water feature combination, Underwater LED lighting design, Full outdoor living ecosystem integration.

Pool + Landscape Integration

The best pools aren’t isolated features—they’re integrated into the overall landscape and outdoor living space. Native Arizona plants, hardscape materials, sight lines, and flow between indoor and outdoor space all matter.

Our integration projects show how we work with landscape architects and designers to create cohesive outdoor spaces where the pool is the centerpiece but not an isolated element.

Projects featured: Desert garden integration, Native plant landscape pairing, Hardscape and water feature combination, Architectural landscape flow.

We’ve designed fairly evenly across negative-edge, freeform, geometric, and wet-edge styles. Negative-edge infinity pools are probably most popular with our premium market (they photograph beautifully and make strong architectural statements), but each style has devoted homeowners.
Our gallery includes projects from the past 15 years. Older projects showcase completed work; newer projects are typically from the past 3 years. We continue to add recent projects as they’re completed.
